We drive from Long Island just to get take out from here. Or, order and bring it home on the LIRR. That's how highly we think of this place. All due respect, there is no good Chinese food on Long Island, IMHO. This is out go-to place when the craving strikes. Great egg rolls, beef and vegetarian dishes.

First time ever ordering from New Moon. Overall keeps up to par with NYC Chinese food. If you're looking for good food to order from in midtown east you can't go wrong

This place does such a great, consistent Chinese takeout/delivery. They are so quick and friendly. I haven't dined in, but have picked up in person and it's incredibly busy - for good reason!

general chicken has more than one flavor, the texture of chicken, and a couple of genuine vegetables in there. everything except the lunch special is overpriced.

Close to my job so when I'm craving comfort Asian food this is my go to! Wonton noodle soup was very good! Would recommend, especially on a rainy day.

With so many Chinese palces in the city-its hard to find a good one in your own neighborhood! This place is a local GEM. Love their service and get their takeouts for lunch all the time. Food is always fresh and well made. Their lunch and dinner combos are so good for money. Totally recommend. Also the service is so efficient and lovely ambiance. Among combos i love are Kungpao chicken/ sweet and sour chicken and chicken teriyaki.

Lately, it's been hard to find good Chinese food, at least in my neighborhood of Hell's Kitchen. Thankfully a friend recommended New Moon. I ordered the sesame chicken lunch special and it's as good as all the reviews on here say it is. It's also a huge portion enough for 2 people. This is my new go-to!

I used New Moon to cater an event for 30 people and it was AMAZING. Everyone was commenting on how delicious the food was. We ordered a full tray of vegetable fried rice, and half trays of beef + broccoli, Chicken Lo Mein, and General Tso's chicken. They gave FULL portions. The trays were filled to the top. The prices were VERY reasonable. We fed each person for around $10/person. Emily, who worked there was so friendly and kind and helped me walk through the catering options. Delivery was right on time. I will be using them again to cater more events.

Haven't tried out a lot of Chinese place here in NYC because I always feel like the outside doesn't look quite sanitary and I'm always thinking that there must be something cheaper. Either, way ordered this place on Uber Eats and the food was actually pretty damn good. I ordered the Singaporean Mei Fun which is my go to order as I love the curry flavor of the noodles in general. This placed makes it pretty well as they had a ton of ingredients in the mei fun and I especially liked the thick curry flavor that was all over the noodles. Also, their portion sizes were huge as I could easily split this into 2 meals if I don't add my own vegetables to the mix, 3 meals if I do. Overall, not a bad place to get Chinese food at all and I will definitely come back to try more of their different dishes. I will say that it's not extremely cheap (aka everything is less than $12), but the food is solid.
